Along the way we’ll show you restaurants, nightlife, shops, and all the places that are local favorites or highly rated. Tap a building to see all the businesses inside, or tap a subway station to see all the trains passing through. Search for bars, hair salons, sushi, or any of our other 50+ categories and we’ll light up all the results in your area. It’s not just a map, it’s Manhattan in your pocket.

Why do I need WiFi to get UpNext 3D NYC on my iPhone?

Apple requires that iPhone apps over 10MB in size to be downloaded via WiFi on the phone or through iTunes on your computer.

How do I navigate on UpNext 3D NYC?

Move around using your fingers.
To Zoom - Pinch
To Rotate - Take your thumb and index finger and twist
To Tilt - Put 2 fingers side by side and move up and down

How do I search for businesses?

1) Tap on a building to get a building directory
2) Select the “Category” button at the bottom of the app and choose one of our many categories
3) Select the “Search” button at the top left of the app and type in a business name, address or intersection

How do I log into my Twitter Account?

- Go to the “Settings” icon on your iPhone
- Scroll Down to “UpNext” and select it
- At the bottom of the screen, you will find fields to enter your Twitter info.

How do I create an account/login/use Facebook Connect?

The first time you use the app, you will be given an option to create an account, login with your UpNext account or connect with Facebook. If you bypassed this screen by tapping, “Just Let Me In” you can still access these account. Simply go to “My Places” and tap on the “Account” icon.

How do I update my location on Facebook or Twitter?

- Find the venue you are at using one of the search options
- Tap on the name of the business to get to the Venue Window
- On the bottom left, select the “Action” icon
- Select Twitter or Facebook Status to update your location

How do I edit/add a business listing?

Select the building where the business is/should be listed. Tap on “Edit” on the top right corner.
To add a business, tap “Add New Business” and fill in as much information about the business on the next screen.
To edit a business, select the business you wish to edit, then correct the according fields on the next screen.
Business information will be verified and confirmed by the UpNext team within 2 business days.

Do you have subways?

Yes, tap on the “Subway” icon in the top right corner of the app. This will display the subway lines. Subway stations are visible on the map at all times and simply tap on one to get more information. Transfer stations are indicated by white connecting lines between stations.

Sometimes the GPS Locator does not find me?

In some areas, GPS location can be spotty. We give you the best GPS information that we are able to receive on your device.

What is the icon on the bottom right?

This is the UpNext feed where we should you “What’s UpNext in your city?” We show you recently opened businesses, latest reviews from the UpNext community and popular favorites in each neighborhood. This is a dynamic feed and we will be adding more options in the future. Please email us (general [at] upnext [dot] com) if you have any suggestions on what you would like to see there.

What is the difference between star ratings, favorites and bookmarks?

We call it My Places because we want you to use it as you see fit. If you enjoy rating businesses and writing reviews, the star ratings combined with notes are for you. If you want to simply mark your favorites and add helpful notes, favorites might be for you. Ratings and favorites are public and shared with the UpNext community.
Bookmarks are private and are simply a way for you to keep track and make notes on venues you are keeping tabs on. For instance you might bookmark a bar your friend recommends to you. That way, next time you are out or in that area, you can check your bookmarks and see what places to visit.
